Ingredients

Makes 15 Cookies

  • 150 g milk chocolate
  • 80 g brown sugar
  • 30 g pecans
  • 150 g flour
  • 75 g unsalted butter
  • 50 g salted butter
  • 1/2 egg
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 QTee® pear

Serves: 6 people

Prep: 35 minutes

Preparation

  1. Put the brown sugar and butter in the bowl of a stand mixer and mix. Add the beaten egg and mix again.
  2. In another bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
  3. Chop the milk chocolate and add it to the flour mixture.
  4. Add the flour mixture to the sugar–butter mixture. Mix until you get a smooth dough ball.
  5. Chill the dough for 30 to 60 minutes. This helps it firm up so it’s easier to work with.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  7. Cut the QTee® pear into small cubes.
  8. Roll the dough into balls and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Leave enough space between them. Gently flatten the balls and press the pear pieces and pecans on top.
  9. Bake the cookies for about 8 to 12 minutes (keep an eye on them; time may vary by oven). Remove from the oven and let them cool. They’ll firm up slightly as they cool but stay wonderfully soft inside.
  10. Store the cookies in an airtight container.
